zeborah: Zebra with stripes shaking (earthquake)

Slept in my own bed - yes, the one with the failing chimney outside. It seems safe enough and it's more comfortable, but I kept a spare pillow over my head just in case. Oh, and slept in my clothes but that's more habit than anything else right now. Interestingly didn't actually feel any aftershocks all night (but one this morning).

Slept the whole night. Not all in one burst, no, but pretty close. Asthma was the main problem - my inhaler's holding it off but I do need to phone the pharmacy which stocks my preventative and see if I can get my repeat from there (unlikely) or somewhere else (?) or if I have to get to the GP for a new prescription. The other problem is a tendency to headache. I've got plenty of panadol left but when I'm at the pharmacy I'll grab another pack anyway because I am ploughing through them a bit.

Boots was back so quickly in the morning I'm not sure if she slept just outside or even inside on a chair under the kitchen table. She's quite different from the first earthquake -- still very cautious (eating consists of: "Nomnomnom! Anything scary in the kitchen? Whee, my wall! Whee, my human's leg! Whee, my human's other leg! Anything scary out through the catflap? Nomnomnom!" and if I leave the area she's likely to come with me rather than stay) but she doesn't seem nearly as scared. I think the difference is that she wouldn't have been inside the house during this quake, so it wouldn't have been so scary.

Church this morning is a combined service on a lawn at another location. (The church still needs to be assessed.) Mum can take me, so I have to be there by 10, so I have to leave here just after 9, so I have to do something about washing without putting water down the drain. My hair will just have to stay dirty for another day (or probably week).

Yay church! Good thing it's summer, at least. (Re church, I got to boss around Bossy Woman tonight; bone-tired but wickedly satisfied)

The church service made the news - the photo is a different service, but most of the article refers to ours
