So Boots has a large matted tangle of fur on her neck which I was trying to cut away. She wasn't overly happy about this, which I duly ignored. But about halfway through the procedure she squeaked and, on the remote off-chance I'd actually somehow cut her, I reflexively let go.

At which point she walked straight over to my laptop and bit the plug out of it.

(It's a magnetic plug, designed to come out easily, so no immediate harm, but I do like to encourage her not to chew on power cords.)

I prised her jaw open to retrieve it (kind of like pilling her but in reverse) and I believe she's now sulking outside somewhere.
