So what I ended up doing was hemming those three curtains and ignoring the fourth for now, on the grounds that they were going to need the hem anyway, and the three stretch to cover the windows okay, and next long weekend I have free with a sewing machine I can decide whether I want to just sew up the fourth curtain or enrich my life with 22.4 metres of unpicking too.
